The Nexus merges Eastern and European cultural influences in architecture, designed to explore intercultural
communication within the design realm, particularly in the Templhof Area, thereby delivering greater
community value with efficient use of resources.
-Vision-
The initiative aims to position architecture as a catalyst for intercultural dialogue, surpassing traditional
architectural norms by integrating elements from both cultures to foster discussions on varied architectural
approaches, enhancing mutual understanding and promoting architecture as a tool for bridging cultural
differences and nurturing connections.
-Façade-
The building’s exterior embodies the essence of Eastern and European cultures through dynamic patterns
and forms, ensuring it harmonizes with its surroundings. This design strategy aims to establish a visual conversation
with the environment, drawing from the rich cultural contexts of both regions.
-Interactive Architectural Experience-
The Cultural Nexus provides an immersive architectural experience, inviting visitors to interact with a
blend of Eastern and European design philosophies. Through thematic exploration and viewing architecture
as narrative, the project offers profound insights into the role of culture in shaping design, thus transforming
the visitor experience into an educational and inspiring journey that highlights the impact of cultural
diversity on architectural innovation.
